Nearly everyone on the Internet today knows and probably uses email. Simply,
email is a letter that is sent via the Internet to 1 or more computers,
depending upon the email instructions when the letter is sent. This
electronically transmitted communication method has gained popularity
whether the sending and receiving computers are in the same office or
thousands of miles apart.
Aside from being very efficient, email has reduced the need for
traditional stamp and letter mail. Email is very quick and, for the most
part accurate. Of course there are problems that come with email, such as
"on-the-job" abuse, confusing email replies and streaming emails
that are confusing, just to name a few.
Normally email is handled by signing up with an ISP (Internet Service
Provider) or any other email service (Yahoo, Juno, Earthlink, MSN etc.). In that
case your email address may be something like
someone@Juno.com or
anyone@Earthlink.net . If you have purchased a domain name
from MDC Marketing, your email
can be linked to your domain name and your email address would look
something like this: anyone@yourdomain.com (.net, .org
or any other extension available). Your email would
be sent directly to your Web Site host computer and then you can retrieve your email from any
of the email programs available (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.).
You can also have your Web Site email sent to another email address, such as
youremail@aol.com .
When you have your email linked to your domain name, you have a virtually
unlimited number of addresses available. You can have an address for each
department, for example: shipping, sales, executive, technical support,
manufacturing, etc.@yourdomain.com. This email service is free with Web
hosting from MDC Marketing, Inc.
